Bulk Carrier 3D stand is intended for the use as educational means on the programs “Theory and Ship Construction” and other training courses in accordance with STCW Convention as amended.

Bulk Carrier 3D stand allows:

• to become familiar with the ship's architecture, including placement of the main ship parts (upper works, houses, bilge and between decks premises etc.)

to study the placement of the ship’s elements:

• ship spaces
• ship survival craft and life-saving appliances, as well as fire prevention means
• security and transport safety equipment
• to become familiar with the description of ship construction elements
• to receive terminology knowledge in ship construction

3D stand consists of:

• Electronic ship plan
• 3D ship model

3D stand can be used during lectures, performed by instructor, as well as during individual training of the student.

Electronic ship plan

Functional features:

• Start of work and passage to the study of the separate ship parts, is performed on the viewgraph “General Ship Plan”
• With the use of the specialized control organ, there is a possibility to change the scale ratio of the plan display on the screen
• In order to emphasize student’s attention to the separate part of the ship, it is possible to make its color detection
• In order to study each unique part in details, is has a detailed plan
• Training of terminology is performed by turning on/off the names of the ship construction elements
• Reference information is introduced as short description of the ship construction elements
• Separate buttons map placement of ship survival craft, life-saving appliances and fire prevention means. Interpretation of safety signs is displayed on the separate viewgraph

3D ship model

Functional features:

• 3D ship model is used for study of its external outline
• With the use of computer mouse there can be set a 3D model convenient viewpoint
• With the use of menu a viewpoint can be set in front of interesting ship construction element
• Reference information is introduced as short description of the ship construction elements
• Training of terminology is performed by turning on/off the names of the ship construction elements
