IMO has published 1.23 Model course 2024 Edition PROFICIENCY IN SURVIVAL CRAFT AND RESCUE BOATS OTHER THAN FAST RESCUE BOATS..

Document includes recommendations on the use of simulators for drilling exercised related to the launch, recovery, operation and maneuvering of lifeboats, which we reported earlier.

Use of FFLBS Free fall lifeboat and LBS Davit-launched lifeboat simulators developed by STORM SIM will provide training center conformity with the new IMO recommendations..

At present STORM SIM is completing development of e-learning module (ELM) “Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats”
